About The Position

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling firearm components and systems with precision and attention to detail. This role involves ensuring the quality, functionality, and safety of the assembled products while adhering to engineering specifications, assembly instructions, and industry standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience with complex assembling.
  • Speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Successfully pass drug screen.
  • Successfully pass background check; may not be a Prohibited Person.
  • Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw a valid conclusion.
  • Have solid written and verbal communication skills that can practice at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to use the latest technology/software provided by the company including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.
  • Understand company Quality Policy and ISO 9001 fundamentals.
  • Ability to adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work with deadlines.
  • Have good organizational skills and precise attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble firearm components and subassemblies using specialized equipment and tooling following detailed technical assembly instructions, drawings, and schematics.
  • Perform change overs in a timely manner.
  • Inspect parts for defects, accuracy, and proper fitment during and after assembly.
  • Diagnose issues that arise during the assembly process. Communicate observations to supervisor and Quality department for continuous improvement. This includes programming errors, damaged machinery/tooling/equipment/product, scrap trends, and/or any other nonconformities.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork for recording.
  • Follow established safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, inspection results, and any adjustments made during the assembly process.
  • Operate and maintain tools and machinery required for assembly tasks. Ensure proper calibration of equipment.
  • Follow all required preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor inventory level of components, consumables, etc., and communicate replenishment needs where applicable.
