About The Position

Join Crusoe Energy as an Assembly Technician and spearhead the building and assembly of our innovative manufactured products and components. You will be responsible for the building assembly of manufactured products and components to completion. This includes Modular data centers and power distribution centers. This full-time, hands-on role is crucial for maintaining production flow and upholding our commitment to quality, as you’ll ensure every product is installed and finished with precision. You will review work orders to guarantee your team has all necessary resources—including hardware, components, and in-house parts. Requirements

  • Possess a high level of mechanical aptitude for understanding assembly processes and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull merchandise up to 50 lbs, and to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily.
  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back to efficiently operate computers and related equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, coupled with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately check engineering drawings for assembly requirements.
  • Eager to learn with strong listening, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively.
  • A highly motivated self-starter who consistently demonstrates professionalism and willingly accepts responsibility for team outcomes.
  • Proven ability to perform as a collaborative team player, consistently showing a positive attitude towards colleagues, and striving for constant improvement in processes and delivery.

  • This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required. Must be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Forklift Operator.
  • Experience erecting and assembling structural steel and hardware
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software; Infor Visual or Acumatica experience is a plus.
  • Solid computer literacy in MS Office and Google products.
  • ISO 9001:2015 experience.
  • Metal manufacturing experience.
  • Electro-mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the material handling and installation of structural and mechanical equipment within the building integration process, as well as performing seam caulking and comprehensive preparations to ensure every unit meets safety standards and is ready for shipment.
  • Work with large equipment and gear to assemble parts onto metal skids that are 60’ long as well as work to erect and secure metal siding and roofs.
  • Work with a team of 3-4 people to install GPU racking, Switchgears, RPPS, and other components to build out modular data centers to be deployed across the US.
  • Meticulously review work orders to confirm the availability and accuracy of all required materials, including hardware, components, and in-house parts.
  • Oversee the review and proper installation of company logos, labeling, NEMA Ratings, and UL information on all finished products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within your work team, focusing on enhancing procedures, processes, and methods to ensure safety and quality in every task.
  • Maintain an organized work area, keep parts inventory accurate, and manage materials efficiently to proactively prevent production delays.
  • Act as a flexible floater and vital resource, stepping in to backfill production team members when required to ensure continuous operational flow.
