About The Position

Midland Door Solutions is seeking individuals to join their growing assembly team. The primary function of this position is to assemble door operators and components, as well as handle the shipping, packing, and loading of doors. This role supports the installation crew by ensuring doors function properly and that the correct materials are prepared for each job. The position also requires maintaining a clean and organized work area and collaborating with other departments to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• High School or GED required
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to operate forklift, overhead crane and telehandler
• Common knowledge of hand/power tools and other fabrication equipment
• Ability to communicate across departments
• Have some background in electrical (will train)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient
• Ability to read and interpret job specs
• Sound judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills in all situations
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and written, to ensure a clear understanding of work instructions and safety protocols
• Prompt and reliable attendance
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Ability to operate scissor lift

Responsibilities

• Assemble doors and complete packing lists
• Assemble motors, brakes, control panels, and other operator components
• Operate forklift, overhead crane and telehandler
• Use hand/power tools and other fabrication equipment
• Communicate across departments
• Test assembled components to ensure functioning properly
• Troubleshoot issues with non-functioning operator components
• Assist in production or field positions as requested
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management
