About The Position

Watson-Marlow is an industry-leading technology organisation dedicated to engineering fluid management solutions for the life science and process industries. As Assembly Operator you will be responsible for working on the assembly line within our cleanrooms to combine parts and components to create our fluid management technology. You will be required to follow and comply with all relevant procedures to ensure only products that meet the required specifications move on to the next manufacturing stage.

Requirements

  • Experience of working on an assembly line and following manual assembly techniques, ideally for single use solutions of 1-3 years.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and strict adherence to specifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring that assembly line output is aligned to cycle times.
  • Work effectively as part of an assembly team and develop strong working relationships with all key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build products on the assembly line according to customer specific technical drawings, instructions, or schematics.
  • Be competent in making all required assemblies in the range including those that are complex and are comprised of multiple types of components (training will be provided).
  • Be capable of working with a complex range of products with hundreds of SKUs (and growing).
  • Understand the special importance of product quality, safety and performance for their application within biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Follow established manufacturing and safety procedures, to ensure compliance with clean room requirements.
  • Inspect the assembled products for any faults or defects and report any issues immediately to the Team Leader in the area.
  • Report incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to your Team Leader for further exploration.
  • Move materials and components between workstations, safely handling waste materials and finished products to maintain a tidy and organised cleanroom.
  • Assist with the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning operations within the cleanroom environment to ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 14644 clean room requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all company health and safety rules and regulations at all times, including contributing to any company health and safety initiatives and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
