About The Position

The company is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their mission-focused team, emphasizing technical excellence, collaboration, and agility. This role contributes to the creation of infrared sensors used in diverse applications, from the James Webb Space Telescope to climate change studies.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform assembly tasks using a microscope
  • Knowledge of adhesives usage, mixing, and application, bonding techniques, surface preparations, cleanroom protocol and electrostatic discharge rules
  • Flexibility and ability to perform a wide variety of processes across multiple products, computer literate, mechanically inclined, and able to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision
  • Good observation and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately follow procedures and diagrams
  • Ability to use Excel spreadsheet
  • Exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
  • Hands-on experience with handling and manipulation of small parts with tweezers
  • US Citizenship due to access restrictions

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or Associate’s Degree desirable

Responsibilities

  • Mounting and Packaging Epoxy application, precision mounting and placement of components, and dimensional verification
  • Perform processes in semiconductor cleanroom
  • Inspect detector and mux components following established procedures and diagrams
  • Document observations and prepare parts for further processing
  • Evaluate parts in accordance with Quality Assurance requirements
