This includes, but is not limited to installing netting, installing covers, installing label, boxing, tub building, bed assembly, product management and more. Performs all of these responsibilities while creating a safe work environment for him/her and all other technicians. Primary duties and responsibilities include the following, however, Management reserves the right to assign or reassign other appropriate duties to this job at any time.

Requirements

  • Ability to work at different stations as production needs require.
  • Ability to operate automated assembly equipment utilizing HMI controls.
  • Ability to perform manual equipment operation or trouble-shooting as necessary.
  • Ability to maintain and clean assigned work area.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections at every step in the process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Trained to use inventory management scanners.
  • Ability to participate in inventory.
  • Ability to learn and carry out netting, covers, boxing, covers, zipper and labels per written processes and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and acknowledge pro-to-type paperwork and craftmanship inspection per written processes and procedures.
  • Ability to assist in providing training to other associates while following outlined processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents
  • Lead by example, representing the company’s mission, vision, and values and promoting a positive environment.
  • Maintains high quality, efficient operation of product and equipment.
  • Wrap mattress with a protective covering and sew ends of covering.
  • Insert wrapped mattress into a consumer-ready textile.
  • Seal covered mattress, labeling and applicable documentation into plastic packaging.
  • Box and strap finished mattress for shipping.
  • Work at different stations as production needs require.

  • Assists with other tasks associated with Assembly.
