About The Position

The Assembly Technician performs basic mechanical assembly and installation work on assigned switchgear under the direct supervision of the Production Floor Manager. The role follows schedules and procedures, including safety protocols, installation processes, and other instructions. The technician works on custom electrical switchgear and controls in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, mechanical repair, or an associated field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Satisfactory completion of additional background screening, if applicable.
• Proper use of common electrical hand tools.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with neat and tidy work habits.
• Responsibility for personal and area safety and general housekeeping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, stand, walk, and move objects up to 50 pounds as required.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for handling small parts and tools; comfortable with occasional repetitive motions.
• Ability to access and navigate each department at assigned facilities.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 10 certification.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Properly use common, electrical, and carpentry shop tools.
• Assemble electrical sheet metal enclosures.
• Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
• Follow applicable safety protocols, schedules, installation processes, and instructions.
