About The Position

Ascentec Engineering LLC is seeking Assembly Technicians to join their growing team. This role involves assembling low volume, high complexity, and high sensitivity components that will be used globally. Key duties include threaded insert installation, working with epoxies and sealants, part making, small parts assembly using screws, bolts, and rivets, and electrical crimping. Candidates are expected to perform well, think critically, operate as part of a team, and have experience with precision machined parts. The position offers both Day Shift (Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) and Swing Shift (Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.), with the swing shift including an industry-leading hourly shift differential. This is an on-site position and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer.

Requirements

  • Experience working with precision machined parts, assembly, cleaning, deburr, sanding, lapping, etc.
  • Understanding of basic installation processes for hardware such as screws, washers, dowel pins, etc.
  • Proficient at using both power and hand tools: Screwdrivers, wrenches, torque drivers, Drills, etc.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs and manipulate them with care and precision
  • Fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, understand customer specifications, blueprints & drawings
  • Ability to use basic measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, gauge pins
  • Computer experience required
  • Must be able to use company’s MES software to log time against jobs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with and mixing glues, epoxies and adhesives
  • Experience installing Heli Coils
  • Clean room assembly experience
  • Experience with aerospace assembly techniques, hardware and tools (match drilling, clecos, riveting, etc.)
  • Prior machine shop experience
