About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician II - 3rd Shift to join their team in Greenwood, SC. The core hours for this position are 11:30 pm - 7:30 am, Monday through Friday. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour plus a $1 per hour shift premium. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. The Assembler II will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for assembling Low Voltage Assemblies. They will execute all required tasks including but not limited to Assembler I roles (Flex and Lean) and assembly machine operation. PowerWave2 hi-pot testing, label making, quality checks, and material transactions in AS400.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Minimum of 6 months of experience using hand and air tools
Proven problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate with team members.
Ability to be flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workplace. (5S+)
Able to work independently with minimum direction.
Ability to stand for long periods with or without reasonable accommodations.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

May be required to have or complete QEW certification to perform electrical tests on assemblies.
Use various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust or repair assemblies.
Use layout, drill, saw, punch, rivet, caulk and paint material as required.
Apply identification labeling on completed assemblies as required.
Retrieve and deliver materials to the assembly line as needed to initiate the assembly process.
Prepare assemblies for shipment or storage, as appropriate during the final assembly process.
Comply with all safety policies/procedures and WSRA’s.
Follow standard operating procedures and method sheets.
Read and comprehend electrical and mechanical drawings.
Comply with written or oral instruction from supervisor.
Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembling.
Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.
Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks in other positions as needed.
