About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician II - 1st Shift at 415 Puckett Ferry Road in Greenwood, SC. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. This position is eligible for a variable incentive plan. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 6 months of industrial manufacturing experience.
Minimum of 6 months of experience using hand and air tools.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Collaboration with team members.
Being flexible and open to changes in processes or tasks.
Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe workplace (5S+).
Able to work independently with minimum direction.
Ability to stand for long periods with or without accommodation.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

Meeting daily production targets with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory management, and productivity.
Assembling Low Voltage Assemblies and performing all related tasks, including those assigned to Assembler I (Flex and Lean), as well as operating assembly machinery.
Performing PowerWave2 hi-pot testing.
Label creation.
Quality verification.
Completing material transactions in AS400.
Obtaining or maintaining QEW certification to perform electrical testing on assemblies.
Assembling, adjusting, or repairing components using a variety of tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment.
Performing layout work and operating tools such as drills, saws, punches, riveters, caulking, and painting equipment as needed.
Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
Following standard operating procedures, method sheets, and both written and verbal instructions from supervisors.
Performing visual inspections and quality checks before, during, and after assembly to ensure all products meet specifications.
Applying identification labels to completed assemblies.
Supporting production flow by retrieving and delivering materials, preparing assemblies for shipment or storage, and completing associated material transactions.
Adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and WSRA requirements.
Providing support across production areas.
