About The Position

This role involves assembling and testing critical electromechanical components for wind turbines by following engineering drawings and technical instructions. The position requires a focus on documentation, process improvement, and the ability to operate specialized equipment like cranes and forklifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
• Must pass background and drug screens
• Willing and able to work any shift and overtime including weekends
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 33 lbs and push and pull at least 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 95% of the shift with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing/mechanical experience using electrical and pneumatic air hand tools
• Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical theories
• Complete and maintain Characteristic Verification Plan (CVP) Certification
• Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
• Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting
• Follow and promote safe work practices
• Communicate effectively with others

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for wind turbine components including installation, adhesive bonding, drilling, tapping, torquing, lubricating and wiring
• Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and wiring diagrams
• Efficiently use calibrated equipment and machinery as part of assembly processes
• Utilize various hand tools and other standard tools to complete work tasks
• Utilize the proper chemicals; must be able to understand safety data and shelf-life information
• Accurately inspect the condition of incoming hardware
• Follow EHS compliance for wind turbine assembly and test
• Perform complete and accurate quality documentation
• Assist in implementation of wind turbine documentation and process improvements
• Initiate and drive process improvements
• Operate forklift and crane
• Maintain manual or computerized records
• Adhere to and follow all safety procedures, i.e. lock-out/tag-out, report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow similar safety practices
