About The Position

Kendall Howard is a growing manufacturer in the IT infrastructure field seeking a dedicated Assembly & Technical Support Technician. This role is crucial for supporting both manufacturing operations and technical support services. The position combines hands-on assembly and fabrication with Level-1 help desk support for equipment, connectivity devices, and operational tools. Working under the direction of the Assembly Lead and Help Desk Lead, this role performs production tasks, maintains equipment, provides technical troubleshooting, manages service requests, and supports the lifecycle of hardware and connectivity devices. Success requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in both manufacturing and technical support environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble products and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately document work performed.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, technical support, or related operational environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fabricate parts according to work orders, specifications, and company policies.
  • Verify work orders and ensure correct revision levels before production.
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout the production process.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and policies without exception.
  • Monitor support channels, including ticketing systems, phone, email, and operational alerts.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical incidents and service requests.
  • Create, manage, and document service tickets.
  • Perform Level-1 troubleshooting for hardware, connectivity devices, and operational tools.
  • Gather diagnostic information including logs, user reports, and device status.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff or engineering teams when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the ticketing system.
