About The Position

Assembly Tech- Curb/Adapter KCC Companies is an employee-owned (ESOP) company dedicated to providing complete design, manufacturing, installation, and service for commercial & residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Our Mission: KCC enhances the lives of our customers, partners, employee-owners, and communities by providing innovative HVAC solutions. Summary: Insulates curbs, Adapters, Deck Supports, Drops and Pans. Measures and cuts insulation materials to size. Installs and secures material with channels or weld studs. Applies rust preventative coatings. Cuts and assembles crating, cribbing, and palletizes product for shipment.

Requirements

Capable of using common hand tools and measuring devices.
Can operate and utilize common hand tools to include hand operated power equipment.
Capable of lifting 50 lbs. without the use of lifting equipment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Requires bending, stooping, and standing.
Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day.  (Overtime may extend time period.)
Good visual and spatial perception.
Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc.

Nice To Haves

Prefer sheet metal handling experience.

Responsibilities

Receives work instructions, prints, and router for job.
Measures, cuts and installs insulation materials after mounting channels or stud welding.
Grinds and sands curb. Clean off oil, debris and preps surface for painting and sealant.
Determines crating requirements from mechanical prints and order instructions.
Utilizes a variety of power and air tools to cut and assemble materials.
Able to be licensed to operate a fork truck.
Maintenance and safeguarding of personal protective equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
