Are you ready to shape the future with us? Your tasks HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Performing machine assembly and other assembly-related tasks. Supporting critical manufacturing processes in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Meeting specification requirements for products and following defined quality system requirements (work instructions, standard work, auditing), improving indicators. Using basic problem-solving skills. Participating as an active member of the production team, demonstrating the core value “For One Another.” Maintaining a safe, clean, and 5S organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic assembly skills, using the use of hand tools: wrench, screwdriver, hammer, and drill; basic measurement skills using a tape measure.
  • Basic mechanical experience.
  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work 8-hour shift.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment assembling components.
  • Intermediate demonstrated mechanical knowledge, including the use of bridge cranes, specialized production tooling, and torque wrenches.
  • Intermediate measurement skills using calipers.
  • Experience with the safe operation of a pallet jack.
  • Use of forklift may be required, depending on role.
  • Ability to perform tasks outside of department as needed.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in 2 or more work areas.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment assembling components.
  • Advanced demonstrated mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and/or electrical equipment issues.
  • Ability to function as back-up to Assembly Team Lead as needed.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment assembling components.
  • Expert demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
  • Advanced welding and fabricating experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate computer skills, including the use of Microsoft applications and Outlook.
  • General understanding of basic safety procedures.
  • Experience assembly electrical components highly preferred.
