About The Position

The Assembly Team Leader is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently met. This role leads by example on the shop floor—coordinating work assignments, enforcing standard work, and supporting operators through hands-on problem solving and equipment troubleshooting. The Team Leader works closely with production, engineering, and maintenance to address issues, improve processes, and reduce downtime while maintaining accurate time and production records. With a strong focus on continuous improvement and a Kaizen mindset, this position plays a key role in driving performance, meeting production schedules, and upholding TAC’s commitment to operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Microsoft Office Experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in Assembly is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Must lead by example, enforce policies and procedures as written.
  • Must validate all operators are and can follow standardized work.
  • Must have a Kaizen Mindset.
  • Must be flexible to work OT, rotating, split, and/or opposite shifts throughout the year.
