About The Position

The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring effective communication between shifts, conducting start-up meetings, and maintaining area communication boards. They will lead 5S and SMED events within their area and collaborate effectively with team members. A key responsibility is to maintain and ensure compliance with all process, quality analysis, and other parameters necessary for the safe and quality-compliant operation of the machinery in their classification. This includes following safety guidelines, wearing required safety equipment, performing and monitoring 5S activities, and promptly cleaning up spills. The Team Leader will actively participate in the development and execution of training programs and plans related to the equipment and operation of the machinery they lead.

  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure communications with oncoming and off-going shifts.
  • Hold start-up meetings.
  • Maintain area communications boards.
  • Lead 5S and SMED events in their area.
  • Work well with members of their team.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with all process, quality analysis, and any other parameters required to maintain the safe and quality compliant operation for the machinery in this classification.
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear safety equipment as required.
  • Perform and monitor 5S activities.
  • Clean up spills promptly.
  • Actively participate in the development and execution of training programs and plans on the equipment and operation of the machinery which the classifications they lead operate.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Perform quality testing.
  • Replace operators in production area(s) in case of absence and/or if directed in the case of production requirements.
