About The Position

Directly supervise and monitor assembly line operators, processes, material needs, and production output for a given assembly line and ensure that GLOCK products are assembled according to company procedures and productivity goals as well as internal and external quality specifications. The role involves coordinating and directing personnel, productivity, and output for the assembly line, addressing complaints, resolving minor personnel issues, assisting with training, and verifying correct process execution. The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring mistakes are corrected through accountability, providing recommendations, and recording data for personnel discipline and reward. They will provide direct supervision, oversight, logistical support, training, and leadership to ensure efficient production flow, maximizing quality and enforcing standard working practices. This includes driving quality and productivity by motivating, influencing, inspecting product, and setting up the production line for each order. The Team Lead ensures personnel follow assembly processes according to instructions and ISO procedures, maintains accurate documentation, performs visual inspections, coordinates with Quality Control, utilizes the inventory management system, and communicates with supervisors and other Team Leads about potential issues. They report hourly and daily assembly output, defects, and issues. A flexible work schedule is required, including arriving 15 minutes before the shift and staying until all end-of-shift procedures are completed. The role also involves setting up the assembly line with correct equipment, restocking parts, monitoring and adjusting equipment, maintaining knowledge of QC standards, assisting other lines during absences, supporting LEAN activities, and ensuring compliance with legal, company, ISO, OSHA, and environmental regulations, as well as maintaining high safety standards. The Team Lead must exercise good judgment, pay close attention to details, work independently and as part of a team, and be open to learning new methods to improve production quality and efficiency, while maintaining a high level of safety and cleanliness.

Requirements

High School Diploma or a GED
1-2 years related experience
Microsoft Office proficiency
Forklift Certified
Ability to clearly articulate verbal and written instructions.
Utilization of pallet lifts and pallet jacks is required.
Basic keyboarding and controller manipulation.
Speaking in person and on the phone is required.
Personal safety protective equipment and ability to communicate and understand instructions is required.
Must have a flexible work schedule.
Must be present in regular attendance.
Must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to shift start and remain until all end of shift procedures are completed.
Needs to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing and open minded to learn and adapt new procedural methods to improve production quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Ensure personnel conduct assembly processes according to instructions and ISO procedures.
Ensure all associated documentation is correct, including parts discrepancies, non-conforming products, production quantities, inventory specifications, and personnel records.
Perform routine and consistent visual parts and procedural inspections.
Coordinate with the Assembly Trainer to ensure proper training on procedures and inspections.
Coordinate and proactively communicate with Quality Control Inspectors to identify and segregate non-conforming parts and products.
Utilize inventory management system to electronically book each production order upon completion.
Communicate with the Assembly Supervisor and/or other Assembly Team Leads regarding potential issues.
Report hourly and daily assembly output to the Assembly Supervisor.
Setup the assembly line for production orders with correct equipment.
Restock small parts on the assembly line as needed and document discrepancies.
Continuously monitor and adjust equipment.
Maintain knowledge of QC standards, requirements, and procedures.
Assist assembly lines to fill in operator absences and facilitate the achievement of production goals.
Support LEAN activities, including 5S principles and continuous process improvement.
Ensure compliance with legal and company ordinances.
Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and Environmental Protection regulatory standards.
Ensure highest safety standards in the area of responsibility.
Keep standard of knowledge up to date through continuing education.
Exercise good judgment/discretion.
Pay close attention to details and report any non-standard findings.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Be willing and open-minded to learn and adapt new procedural methods.
Maintain a high level of safety and cleanliness in the Assembly area.
