This role involves bonding and assembling aerospace components according to blueprints and specifications, using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment. The assembler will be responsible for reading process charts, work orders, and specifications to determine the sequence of bonding operations, the amount of bonding agent to be applied, and the areas to be bonded. Key responsibilities include maintaining inventory of hardware and supplies, ensuring all assembly equipment is in proper working order, completing daily checklists and inspection data sheets, and verifying that parts are complete and ready for over-inspection (e.g., checking thickness, touch-ups, cleanliness, and completed routers). The position also requires daily checks of liquid nitrogen, ensuring assembly tools are accounted for and secured daily, mixing sealants and adhesives, and using computers to document all applicable information.
