About The Position

Electroswitch is seeking a hands-on Assembly Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift Assembly team. Reporting to the Assembly Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing assembly and sub-assembly operations, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a strong manufacturing leader who can motivate employees, drive continuous improvement, and work effectively across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Materials.

Requirements

  • Level of knowledge that is generally associated with a High school education.
  • Five to seven years of assembly and/or shop experience.
  • Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is advantageous
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems and production management software
  • MS Office experience and ERP experience a must.
  • Ability to read blueprints, use hand tools and measuring devices, small presses, and other light machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support assembly and sub-assembly employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
  • Oversee daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) including Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), Productivity, and Schedule Attainment.
  • Analyze workloads, staffing requirements, and production schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Train, coach, develop, and evaluate employees while maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Address performance, attendance, and disciplinary matters as needed.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Materials teams to resolve production issues and improve workflow.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Support production planning and proactively address material shortages, bottlenecks, and production delays.
  • Approve attendance records and maintain department documentation.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development activities.
  • Assist in monitoring department expenses and supporting operational objectives.
