About The Position

The Assembly Supervisor serves as a front-line operations leader responsible for leading a team of assemblers, executing production schedules, and maintaining strict adherence to quality and performance standards. Military veterans experienced leading teams are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, assembly, or maintenance operations (military leadership experience equivalent)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources, and execute in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical or leadership training preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in operations, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field, or equivalent work/military experience
  • Lean principles- experience in continuous flow manufacturing environments with application of
  • Understanding how to interpret blueprints, specifications, and assembly processes
  • Experience with MRP systems and production planning tools preferred OR planning systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily assembly to ensure production goals and delivery commitments are met.
  • Assign work and prioritize tasks based on production schedules, operational requirements, and resource availability.
  • Coordinate closely with Production Planning and Scheduling to ensure timely completion and shipment of orders.
  • Manage personnel, equipment, tooling, and materials to ensure full operational coverage and efficiency.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and engineering directives to guide assembly processes and resolve issues.
  • Serve as the first line of response for troubleshooting production challenges and technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering, safety, and quality standards throughout all operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of assemblers, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Maintain a positive, disciplined work environment focused on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Build team capability through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors and departments to ensure continuity of operations and mission alignment.
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards and operational procedures.
  • Participate in and lead initiatives to improve processes, standardize work methods, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance production flow and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure a safe working environment while meeting production objectives.
  • Oversee daily production activities and monitor performance against established targets.
  • Collect, analyze, and report production data to leadership.
  • Ensure availability of materials, tools, and equipment to prevent disruptions to operations.
  • Minimize production downtime through proactive planning and rapid response to issues.
