Assembly Specialist-D (2nd Shift)
About The Position
NIC Global is a single-source manufacturer of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, sheet metal fabrication, and globally sourced metal and plastic components. The Assembly Specialist performs light assembly operations using drawings, schematics, and diagrams to assemble components or subassemblies. The role uses general shop equipment and pneumatic hand tools in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment, while meeting production and quality standards. The position is on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The company describes its workplace as having a fun, family-like atmosphere, with employee appreciation events, holiday parties, cookouts, company gifts, and other recognition programs.
Requirements
- High school-level education or equivalent, plus specialized training obtainable through vocational courses or on the job.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to meet production and quality standards.
- Ability to work on repetitive assignments that may be moderately complex.
- Decision-making and judgment skills required to perform quality checks.
- Positive attitude and ability to function in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Use general shop equipment, including huck guns and a variety of pneumatic hand tools.
- Meet production and quality standards in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.
- Maintain a clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform quality checks and use judgment in making decisions.
