About The Position

Pioneer Circuits is seeking an Assembly Receiving Inspector to perform incoming inspection of assembly supplies. This role ensures compliance with specifications and customer requirements before materials are released to stock or production. The primary function involves inspecting, verifying, and documenting the review of incoming materials, components, and products from suppliers to ensure conformity.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of quality inspection, or receiving inspection experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with electronic components or connectors
  • Ability to read and interpret: Engineering drawings, specifications, and PO requirements
  • Understanding of basic mechanical/electrical components
  • Familiarity with connectors and assembly hardware
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and methods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Strong documentation accuracy
  • Problem identification and escalation ability
  • Strong time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident due to ITAR control.

Nice To Haves

  • IPC certification (PCS-A-610)
  • 1-2 years of quality control experience in PCB manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection of assembly supplies to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements prior to release to stock or production.
  • Inspect, verify, and document the review to ensure conformity of incoming materials, components, and products from suppliers.
  • Verify part number, revision, and quantity against PO and packing slip.
  • Inspect packaging condition, perform visual and functional inspection of connectors and supplies.
  • Identify non-conforming material and initiate NCR when required.
  • Document Receiving Inspection activities in ProCIM (ERP).
  • Verify correct type, size, material, and finish of assembly supplies.
  • Inspect for damage, corrosion, contamination, proper labeling and identification.
  • Confirm shelf-life items (adhesives, epoxies, etc.) are within expiration.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues, non-conformances, and deviations.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
  • Verify C of C includes required information and confirm required certifications as applicable.
  • Ensure traceability and controls of materials.
  • Segregate and tag nonconforming material, document defects clearly and initiate NCR.
  • Generate reports and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Generate a list of all equipment due calibrations using Calibration 2000 software.
  • Ensure calibration is performed on all equipment per schedule and is properly labeled.
  • Coordinate calibration schedules with vendors, confirm equipment location and escort calibration technician to perform service.
  • Manage the approved vendor list and ensure vendor certificates are current.
  • Update the calibration status database, maintain records, and generate a monthly calibration status report for management.
