Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (experience in lieu of education will be considered).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer or similar in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge with PFMEAs, Six Sigma, and Poka-Yoke.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate advanced industrial engineering assignments related to design, process improvement, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Troubleshoot engineering issues during the assembly process with the assistance of the Quality Engineer to ensure quality component manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with various organizational units to review progress and evaluate results.
  • Develop and suggest necessary changes to assembly processes, designs, and equipment.
  • Create and maintain process documentation.
  • Devise new approaches to encountered problems.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of Engineers, Technicians, Designers, and others assisting on specific assignments.
  • Provide leadership and act as a role model in Quality, Productivity, Safety/Ergonomics, and Training.
  • Review weekly production schedules with the Master Scheduler.
  • Organize and lead Problem Solving Groups with relevant functions and supplier representatives to analyze problems, identify root causes, and define action plans using Problem Solving Quality Tools (PFMEAs, Poka-Yoke, and Six Sigma).
  • Fully support Customer Initial Sample submissions with correct documentation to ensure right-first-time acceptance for all new Service Part Numbers.
