Assembly Process Engineer

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (experience in lieu of education will be considered).
- 5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer or similar in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge with PFMEAs, Six Sigma, and Poka-Yoke.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate advanced industrial engineering assignments related to design, process improvement, or manufacturing engineering.
- Troubleshoot engineering issues during the assembly process with the assistance of the Quality Engineer to ensure quality component manufacturing.
- Collaborate with various organizational units to review progress and evaluate results.
- Develop and suggest necessary changes to assembly processes, designs, and equipment.
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Devise new approaches to encountered problems.
- Supervise or coordinate the work of Engineers, Technicians, Designers, and others assisting on specific assignments.
- Provide leadership and act as a role model in Quality, Productivity, Safety/Ergonomics, and Training.
- Review weekly production schedules with the Master Scheduler.
- Organize and lead Problem Solving Groups with relevant functions and supplier representatives to analyze problems, identify root causes, and define action plans using Problem Solving Quality Tools (PFMEAs, Poka-Yoke, and Six Sigma).
- Fully support Customer Initial Sample submissions with correct documentation to ensure right-first-time acceptance for all new Service Part Numbers.
