About The Position

The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling a wide variety of gear boxes. These gear boxes are assembled using high quality components and following engineering designs.

Requirements

• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read various measuring equipment including scales and dial indicators
• Mechanical ability

Nice To Haves

• Ability to use various hand tools, hydraulic presses, air wrenches, electric motors, air gauges, bearing pre-load press, parts washer, and arbor press

Responsibilities

• Perform efficiently at line speed on all assembly work stations
• Pull parts from inventory stock and stage assembly orders for building units
• Comply with all ISO 9001 assembly quality procedures
• Read and interpret assembly routers and drawings
• Able to place component parts into a storage system
• Capable of performing at rates set by pre-determined time standards
• Required following all safety rules, use of proper PPE, and report any safety concerns
• Perform all operations necessary to evaluate rejected speed reducers and determine the appropriate repair method
