About The Position

Sunlight Batteries USA is building a temporary talent pool for Assembly Operator roles within our lead‑acid battery manufacturing operations to support immediate and ongoing production needs. These roles are designed to ensure we have skilled, reliable team members ready to step into opportunities as demand continues to grow. These temp‑to‑hire Assembly Operator positions are well‑suited for individuals with experience or interest in manufacturing or warehouse environments who work well with others, are eager to learn new skills, and take pride in maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, quality, and efficiency. Temporary employees will be evaluated after 90 days for potential direct‑hire opportunities based on performance, attendance, and business needs. Positions require availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. All candidates must complete an interview prior to consideration; interviews are offered daily by appointment only. Candidates selected to move forward will be required to register and onboard with a third‑party staffing agency as part of the hiring process. Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 55 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and kneeling
  • Ability to change direction and adjust tasks based on production needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident (no sponsorship available)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong dependability and attendance record
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or similar industry
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to read and operate testing and production equipment
  • Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Experience working with DC electrical charging systems and compressed air systems
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

  • Assemble batteries by placing cells and installing components into steel containers according to blueprint specifications
  • Operate general machine functions, including semi-automatic production equipment
  • Meet standard machine run rates while minimizing scrap and material waste
  • Perform accurate and timely quality checks using established procedures and machine checklists
  • Identify nonconforming products, follow hold procedures, and assist with corrective actions
  • Suggest improvements to processes, efficiency, and equipment operation
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in plant safety programs
