Assembly Operator
About The Position
The Assembly Operator is responsible for various tasks related to the production and quality control of parts. This includes identifying and reporting machine downtime, ensuring the use of the 5S methodology, performing machining steps, and accurately recording production data in the ERP system. The role also involves packing and labeling parts, conducting quality checks, and managing material requests and consumption postings. The operator will also be responsible for starting/restarting systems, fixing temporary machine interruptions, and escalating technical problems as needed. Setup processes are also a key part of the role.
Requirements
- Ability to count good parts, rejected parts, and parts requiring reworking
- Skill in identifying and reporting machine downtime
- Proficiency in inserting and removing materials from systems
- Understanding and application of the 5S methodology
- Ability to follow cleaning and inspection plans
- Competence in performing machining steps as per work plans
- Accuracy in confirming parts, machining time, and downtime in the ERP system
- Experience with material request execution and consumption posting in ERP
- Knowledge of packing and labeling specifications
- Capability to perform defined quality checks
- Experience with individual systems and multi-system operation
- Ability to start/restart systems according to documentation
- Skill in fixing temporary machine interruptions
- Understanding of escalation procedures for technical problems
- Experience with carrying out set-up processes
Responsibilities
- Count good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking
- Identify and report any machine downtime
- Insert material into/removing them from the systems
- Ensure the use of the 5S methodology at the workstation
- Work through cleaning and inspection plans
- Perform the machining steps set out in the work plan
- Confirm good parts, rejected parts and parts that require reworking, the machining time and downtime and the reasons for any deviations in the defined ERP system
- Execute the material request and the material consumption posting in the defined ERP system
- Pack and label produced parts as per the defined specifications
- Carry out defined quality checks
- Use individual systems and/or implementing multi-system operation
- Start/restart systems as per the documentation or specifications
- Fix temporary machine interruptions that fall within the defined responsibility
- Escalate technical problems in line with the defined escalation matrix
- Carrying out set-up process
