Assembly Operator in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/ GED

Responsibilities

  • Understand lock out/ tag out procedures
  • Keep machine and work area clean and organized
  • Perform specific safety procedures on equipment safety in cell/line/dept./plant
  • Report safety issues
  • Meet or exceed department safety goals
  • Wear personal protective equipment
  • Meet or exceed Cell and Department quality and Plant goals
  • Understand / document all quality requirements per process
  • Master all process gauging
  • Identify / segregate discrepant material
  • Document and maintain DMR areas
  • Read and interpret all charts, print outs and pre ops
  • Perform 1st piece inspection using setup verification sheet
  • Read and interpret standardized work / process plans
  • Use computer equipment to enter and receive data
  • Report maintenance problems using the work order System
  • Understand, document and maintain maintenance and pre-op checklist
  • Understand and verify machine verification log / daily checks
  • Use FIFO and visual floor management at each process
  • Meet or exceed daily production goal / schedule
  • Adjust machine settings and troubleshooting-as applicable
  • Apply statistical methods-as required
  • Apply tooling requirements, sheets, life standards, changes and off-sets
  • Operate/inspect Hoist-if applicable
  • Perform autonomous maintenance-if applicable
  • Rework, scrap and non-conforming material process-as required
  • Rotate to other cells-if applicable
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Promote a teamwork environment
  • Support team (active and constructive role)
  • Understand dept. responsibilities and roles
  • Monitor tool life, notify supervisor/process engineer of issues and / or missed goals
  • Modify CNC programs for 2 technologies
  • Communicate effectively at shift change
  • Communicate effectively with team and supervisor
  • Understand department responsibilities and role
  • Understand and maintain hourly production boards
  • Train in principle skills ( LELC )
  • Understand, apply and react to SPC measurements
  • Confirm all shop order confirmations in SAP
  • Understand and perform packing as required
  • Comply with assigned work schedule
