About The Position

Operates ceramic core injection molding machines to form ceramic patterns. This role involves preparing and operating core injection presses and tooling, managing the core shape making process via injection, performing dimensional and visual inspections of injected cores, conducting core forging operations, and preparing cores for thermal processing. The operator will also rotate with the Harrop area.

Requirements

  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself to make improvements.
  • Operations Monitoring — Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, and grammar.
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
  • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without "giving out" or fatiguing.
  • The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
  • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • Candidate must adhere to all process documentation

  • High school education or equivalent life experience and three to six months related experience or training.
  • Ability to learn and to operate all injection machines, and perform all functions of wax injection operation to include placement of patterns in wax setters or fixtures after injection.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and work instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to record information on a daily basis.
  • Ability to speak and listen effectively to follow instructions in English.
  • Ability to write and speak complete sentences and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to add and subtract two and three digit numbers and to perform simple multiplication and division.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to distinguish between colors, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to recognize defects in patterns
