About The Position

Volt is immediately hiring for an Assembly Operator III at Arden, NC 28704. As an Assembly Operator III, you will polish and test fiber optic cables, assemble and package fiber optic connector components (as needed), terminate single and multi-fiber cables, and operate fiber routers & complete over-molding processes (as needed). You will also support prototype product builds, test product builds, and pre-release NPI builds (as needed). Additionally, you will measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices, complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product, troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment, and understand cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year assembly manufacturing experience required with knowledge and understanding of manufacturing principles such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.
The ability to distinguish between color-coded fiber optic cables is an essential function of this position to ensure accurate assembly, installation, and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year experience in a fiber optic assembly manufacturing environment preferred.
SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred.
