About The Position

Pentair is seeking Assembly Operators I/II for their White Bear Lake, MN location, offering 1st and 2nd shifts. In this role, you will follow established procedures for assembling products, handling equipment, and managing materials according to the production department and company quality system. The position may involve working in various production areas such as seaming, banding, packaging, core cutting, pleating, and dispensing. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to maintain focus, achieve high hourly assembly targets, and perform repetitive tasks and motions. You will be responsible for the safe and timely setup of assigned equipment using work orders and test methods, operating equipment to meet production standards, and inspecting machined features for quality. Adjustments to machinery and changing of perishable tooling will also be part of the duties. This role involves working with clearly defined problems and instructions, with an expectation to raise any issues encountered. Tasks are typically routine and follow set guidelines and procedures. You will also be expected to adhere to all 5S practices, support lean activities, and comply with safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will inspect equipment and manufacturing parts for quality assurance and review shop operations packets, Bills-of-Materials, and engineering drawings to verify the correctness of incoming materials for assembly.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months or more of experience in production with an emphasis on good manufacturing practices
  • Requires both written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 40lbs.
  • Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts safe and timely set up of assigned equipment using the work order, route packets, set ups and test methods
  • Operates assigned equipment to meet production standards
  • Conducts setup and operation of assigned equipment, inspects machined features to maintain quality, adjusts machine and changes perishable tooling.
  • Expected to raise issues.
  • Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations, policies and procedures
  • Inspects equipment and manufacturing parts to ensure quality
  • Reviews shop operations packets, Bills-of-Materials, and engineering drawings to ensure that incoming materials to be assembled are correct to specified quantity/quality/part number
