About The Position

Plan and perform all necessary tasks with close supervision to assemble clutches, brakes, power take off (PTO), and all required related components. This role requires limited work experience and some knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques as well as a good degree of skill to operate balancing machine, drills, saw and surface grinder to assemble mechanisms having critical dimensional specifications, alignments, and skilled fitting of parts. The employee will constantly move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently move up to twenty (20) pounds, and occasionally move up to eighty (80) pounds. At all times the employee should maximize the usage of mechanical aids at their disposal. The employee will perform the following activities; constantly be reaching and handling and feeling. Frequently, stooping, crouching, and grasping and occasionally be climbing, balancing, and kneeling. The work environment is mostly in a production setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or general educational diploma (G.E.D.).
  • Must have knowledge, skills, and ability to learn basic assembly, and be able to expand into areas of more responsibility.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and pass a written and driving forklift test.
  • Ability to use precision tools.

Responsibilities

  • Installs components of all types, oil and grease seals, brush prime paint, bearing and cover plates.
  • Diagnoses mechanical troubles and effect repair.
  • Position and align parts taking care to avoid damage and ensure positioning and alignment are precise.
  • Operation of cleaning and painting process.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Plan and perform all necessary tasks with close supervision to assemble clutches, brakes, power take offs, and all required related components.
  • Work from simple blueprints and job specifications to perform duties such as but not limited to assembly, bolting, screwing, mounting, erecting, connecting, threading, servicing, and grinding.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
