About The Position

The Assembly Mechanic assembles mechanical components and subassemblies according to engineering specifications and work instructions. The role performs inspections and functional tests to verify assemblies meet required standards, and maintains and troubleshoots mechanical equipment and tools used in production. The work supports accurate, timely assembly and the efficiency and quality of Honeywell Aerospace manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in mechanical assembly.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality inspection processes to ensure product compliance.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical assemblies and equipment efficiently.
U.S. Person status, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or a person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical assembly is a plus.
3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or related manufacturing roles.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
