Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year experience and/or training; or Technical Apprenticeship with Certification or Journeyman Card; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of automated manufacturing technical experience required.
  • Robotics experience required (Fanuc & Kuka)
  • PLC experience required (Allen Bradley & Siemens)

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical direction for the maintenance team, including assigning and managing preventive maintenance activities, coordinating personnel scheduling (training, vacation, line coverage), identifying training needs, mentoring new technicians, supporting performance evaluations, and leading equipment downtime recovery efforts.
  • Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement by ensuring scheduled preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance is completed on time, conducting thorough root cause investigations, maintaining quality standards and QS9000 compliance, and prioritizing maintenance activities to minimize production impact.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting and equipment support for assembly operations, including PLCs, robotics, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine control systems, while making necessary equipment adjustments to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements by participating in cross-functional teams, overseeing equipment assembly and installation, implementing equipment modifications, establishing maintenance procedures, and collaborating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage maintenance documentation, inventory, and administrative processes including equipment breakdown reports, PM tracking and verification, parts ordering and returns, technical documentation, and utilization of maintenance and Microsoft Office software systems.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and skilled work environment through technical training, safety instruction, housekeeping standards, shop floor engagement, shift flexibility, and effective collaboration with production and other functional teams.
