About The Position

This role involves operating multiple machines, performing basic repairs and pre-checks, and managing component parts. The operator will be responsible for quality checks, generating stock labels, and maintaining production logs. Authority is granted to restart processes after downtime, provided test verifications are successful. The position also requires contributing to continuous improvement efforts and performing other duties as assigned by management. Requirements

  • Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety, health, and company policies and procedures.
  • Experience operating multiple machines.
  • Ability to perform basic machine repairs and pre-checks.
  • Capability to pull/move component parts from and to inventory.
  • Skill in tumbling rubber grommets.
  • Ability to move/load metal components to machine hopper.
  • Proficiency in generating stock labels on a computer.
  • Ability to perform quality checks.
  • Experience setting up piece count scales and weighing finished goods.
  • Competence in completing machine production log sheets, relocation log sheets, and computer entries.
  • Certification or ability to operate stand-up and fork trucks.
  • Authority to restart processes after machine downtime, following successful test PC verifications and test logs.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, follow, and enforce all established safety, health, and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Operate multiple machines and make basic machine repairs and pre-checks.
  • Pull/move component parts from and to inventory.
  • Tumble rubber grommets.
  • Move/load metal components to machine hopper.
  • Generate stock labels on computer.
  • Perform quality checks.
  • Set-up piece count scales and weigh finished goods.
  • Complete machine production log sheets, relocation log sheets, and computer entries.
  • Operate stand-up and fork trucks.
  • Restart processes after machine downtime (e.g., maintenance, part rejections) after successful test PC verifications and test logs are completed.
  • Contribute to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
