About The Position

The Assembly Machine Operator operates and monitors assembly machinery to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. The role includes meeting hourly production rates, setting up equipment according to job specifications and production schedules, inspecting products, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime. The operator works with quality control, supervisors, and team members to maintain production flow and meet daily output goals while following safety and quality guidelines. The position may also support other departments and perform other duties as assigned to meet production, quality, and business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating assembly or manufacturing machinery.
• Certification in machine operation or manufacturing processes.
• Experience with automated or computerized assembly equipment.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime when required.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor assigned machinery to support efficient production and meet hourly targets.
• Set up machinery according to job specifications and production schedules.
• Inspect assembled products for defects and verify compliance with quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Identify and promptly report mechanical issues or malfunctions to the supervisor and/or Weld Tec.
• Maintain accurate production records and document deviations or incidents.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Perform other duties and support various departments as assigned to meet production, quality, and business needs.
