About The Position

The Assembly Operator assembles a wide variety of gear boxes using high-quality components and engineering designs. The role performs operations needed to assemble, test, and ship speed reducers while following assembly quality procedures and workplace safety rules. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively use basic hand tools.
• Ability to follow verbal and written communication.
• Forklift certified.
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 25 lbs continuously and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to stand continuously and walk occasionally throughout the day for up to ten hours.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft D365 knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations necessary to assemble, test, and ship speed reducers.
• Comply with ISO 9001 assembly quality procedures.
• Read and interpret assembly routers and drawings.
• Place component parts into the storage system.
• Produce quality work and use judgment to determine quality acceptability.
• Perform at rates set by predetermined time standards.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Follow safety rules, use proper PPE, and report safety concerns.
