Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in fabrication shop environment
  • 2 years' experience in a supervisory role
  • Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as directed by the Assembly Supervisor
  • Generate assembly work schedule based on input from Assembly Supervisor
  • Interpret drawings and determine how work should flow through department in an efficient manner
  • Use schedule in project management software to determine order of work, as well as to mark work complete within software
  • Use project management software daily to check for tasks set by Assembly Supervisor and complete them in a timely manner. Mark complete when finished with tasks
  • Direct assembly personnel on daily activities within assembly department
  • Working lead responsibilities are to direct workforce within department as well as perform work in the department, which can include, but not limited to: Bond PTFE, Mark Centerlines and stencil bearings, Assemble bearings, joints, and other fabricated items, Band, weigh, and skid completed bearings, Wrap completed bearings and spray paint markings as required, Clean, organize and maintain shop spaces
  • Other duties as required
