About The Position

Stella-Jones is a leading manufacturer of essential infrastructure products focused on serving utilities and railroads, as well as supplying big box home improvement stores across North America. Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Stella-Jones operates a vast network of facilities and employs more than 3,000 employees. This position is for an Assembly Laborer, a summer-only role (April to August time frame), assisting with various manufacturing activities.

Requirements

Requires standing for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

Assists with manufacturing activities by performing the following duties
Assemble small brace
Do miscellaneous cleanup projects
Assemble hardware onto crossarms with power tools
Place sticks in hoppers for sticker stacker machine
Operate banding equipment
Cut dunnage with saw
Assist in cleaning work areas, maintaining property, plant and equipment
Compiling customer kits for shipping
Participates and contributes to company safety program
Performs other related duties as assigned
