About The Position

This is a Part Time Assembly position where assemblers will be responsible for reading blueprints and specifications, using tools and assembly techniques, and packing for shipment. The role requires adherence to safety guidelines and maintaining a clean workspace. The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and flat layouts.
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
• Must wear safety glasses, ear protection, and safety shoes (Steel Toed shoes).
• Must wear long pants covered with steel-toed shoes, T-shirts, no tank tops, no drapery wear clothing with holes in tears rips.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• No sponsorship will be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Basic Understanding of Building skills.
• Electrical or mechanical background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and flat layouts to ensure the accurate assembly of box cabinets, Racks and related components.
• Bend fastening devices, fit and secure interlocking parts, and apply touch-up paint to finished cabinets as needed.
• Properly pack cabinets for shipment to ensure products are protected and prepared for delivery.
• Move materials using hand trucks or fork trucks.
• Complete required documentation and related paperwork.
• Follow all workplace safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and safety shoes (Steel Toed shoes).
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Demonstrate reliability and accountability.
• Consistently exhibit a strong work ethic.
