About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is seeking an Assembly III for their Corinth, MS facility. This role involves engine/component assembly operations with moderate complexity, scope, and variation. The position is on the 2nd shift and emphasizes safety, quality, and sustainability. Caterpillar Remanufacturing focuses on bringing value back to Cat products, promoting a circular economy, and providing high-quality, sustainable solutions for customers.

Requirements

  • Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data).
  • Ability to read/write and interpret documents.
  • Experience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc.).
  • 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must pass background screening, drug & alcohol screening, and post-offer medical questionnaire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an engine mechanic.
  • Engine or engine component assembly experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various assembly processes in a fast-paced, safety and quality-focused team environment.
  • Adhere to contamination control guidelines.
  • Utilize print reading skills and perform quality checks as defined by standard work.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, gages, hoists, presses, and other necessary tools.
  • Follow production schedules.
  • Utilize computer systems (MES, BIQ, Pinpoint, Epix) for work instructions, prints, and data entry.
  • Operate overhead cranes/hoists and electric pallet jacks to move parts.
  • Complete Caterpillar Basic Assembly Training.
  • Adhere to Built in Safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Work independently without close supervision.
  • May require cross-training in other Salary Grade 4 positions (Assembly 1, 2; Cleaning 1, 2, 3, 4; Disassembly 1, 2; Machining 1, 2, 3; Logistics 1, 2; and Quality 1, 2).
