About The Position

VAL-CO, a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment, is hiring full-time Assembly Fans for its Coldwater, Ohio facility. The role performs fabrication and assembly work for designated fan models in the fan line and Hemi fan work centers, following company methods and safety, quality, and quantity standards. The position also includes completing paperwork, verifying parts and counts, setting up jobs, moving parts and loads, and maintaining an orderly work area. Employees are expected to act consistently with good character and VAL-CO’s published core values.

Requirements

Able to read, perform basic math, and properly complete required paperwork.
Able to accurately count parts and follow job procedures.
Good dexterity to perform assembly operations.
Quality- and safety-conscious.
Valid forklift license.
Able to turn laterally 90 degrees to the right and left up to 200 times per hour during an 8-hour shift.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds to shoulder height.
Able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
Able to carry up to 40 pounds up to 6 feet, up to 100 times per hour during an 8-hour shift.
Able to legibly complete necessary paperwork.
Able to align two parts and assemble them with a bolt, lockwasher, and nut to meet quality and quantity standards.
Able to use appropriate hand tools, writing utensils, and measuring devices required to meet quality, safety, and quantity standards.

Responsibilities

Perform fabrication and assembly operations for designated fan models in the fan line work center and Hemi fan work center.
Perform fabricating operations according to company methods and safety, quality, and quantity standards.
Complete all required paperwork properly.
Ensure parts meet quality standards and counts are accurate for cartoning jobs.
Set up assigned jobs as required.
Move parts or loads into and out of the work station as required.
Keep the work area neat and orderly.
Align and assemble parts using a bolt, lockwasher, and nut to meet quality and quantity standards.
Use appropriate hand tools, writing utensils, and measuring devices to meet quality, safety, and quantity standards.
Conduct oneself consistently with good character and VAL-CO’s published core values.
