About The Position

Woodward is hiring for an Assembly and Test role at Level I or II. The position assembles and tests product components by following documented procedures and using specified tools and equipment. It also includes inspecting products, recording and maintaining data, keeping the workstation organized, and following safety protocols and applicable requirements. The role requires following standard work and participating in daily management and continuous improvement activities. Team members communicate with colleagues and supervisors to support workflow and escalate issues. This is a second-shift position, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The hourly rate is $22.00 for Level I or $24.00 for Level II, plus a 15% shift differential. All members are eligible for an annual cash bonus opportunity. Applicants must be U.S. Persons under ITAR/EAR or eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Requirements

Understand and follow basic technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
Identify gaps from standards and resolve them or escalate them according to standard processes and procedures.
Demonstrate basic understanding of mechanical systems and components.
Use hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively; assemble and test products and potentially perform basic equipment setups.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Manage time effectively and adhere to assigned schedules.
Follow lean practices, including 5S and waste reduction.
Understand and adhere to standardized work and participate in the daily management system.
Use basic software, such as email, spreadsheets, and data-entry tools.

Responsibilities

Assemble product components accurately and efficiently according to documented procedures, using specified tools and equipment.
Test products accurately and efficiently according to documented procedures, using specified tools and equipment.
Conduct inspections and tests to verify product accuracy and functionality; record and maintain data according to operating standards.
Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of unnecessary items in accordance with 5S principles; properly store and maintain tools, materials, and equipment.
Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining awareness of personal and surrounding work-area safety.
Follow standardized work and escalate situations when established procedures cannot be followed.
Participate in the daily management system and continuous improvement activities.
Communicate with team members and supervisors to support workflow and escalate immediate issues.
Manage time to complete assigned tasks within established schedules and adhere to the individual schedule.
Use basic software, such as email, spreadsheets, and data-entry tools, to complete tasks.
Check work for accuracy and collaborate with team members, accepting feedback and supporting team objectives.
