About The Position

Dakota Bodies LLC manufactures custom utility truck bodies for industries including construction, quarrying, mining, transportation, refining, and utilities. The Final Assembler completes utility truck bodies and related assembly and repair work. The role is full-time at the Dakota Bodies Liberty location in Liberty, Missouri, with first- and second-shift schedules available. Overtime is scheduled on Fridays; second shift includes a $2 shift differential. The stated pay range is $18.00–$23.00 per hour. No travel is required.

Requirements

• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Ability to use tools such as welding equipment and grinders.
• Dependability.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read prints.
• Identify parts, including items designated as ship loose.
• Wire bodies.
• Install shelves, dividers, and other components.
• Ensure all ship-loose items are accounted for.
• Repair minor dents and bodies to a limited extent.
• Load trailers.
• Recognize differences in lighting packages.
• Adjust various types of latches.
• Install windows, vents, and fans.
• Complete final body assembly independently.
• Locate missing parts or arrange to have them made.
