About The Position

Opus Packaging - Jackson is seeking 2nd shift Assembly Associates to assemble corrugate components and products efficiently and according to specifications. Associates inspect finished products for quality and safety, maintain an organized work area, and collaborate with teammates to resolve issues and meet production goals and deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are important. The schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, in Jackson, Michigan.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in assembly or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, squat, and stand for up to 8 hours.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift 10–20 pounds.
Understanding of machine setup, machine runs, plant data entry, handwork, or assembly assignments.

Nice To Haves

Experience with hand and power tools.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
