About The Position
This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is an onsite role in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The work schedule is 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed to meet customer demand. The role involves safely completing tasks, participating in team safety programs, positioning parts according to blueprints or the unit being assembled, fastening parts with various fasteners, and removing small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- HS diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months related experience / training or combination
- Able to read and comprehend safety rules, operating/maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
- Able to present information to individuals/groups/clients by reports or correspondence
- Must have work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Safely complete tasks and participate in team safety programs
- Position parts according to unit being assembled or follow blueprint
- Fasten parts together with bolts, washers, screws, speed, clips, rivets, or other fasteners
- Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce
- Other duties as assigned
