About The Position

Johnson Controls is hiring an Assembler to build high-quality air conditioning units in a supportive, safety-first manufacturing environment. The role involves assembling parts into subassemblies and finished products, inspecting components, maintaining an organized work area, and working with teammates to meet production goals. The position is on the weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The hourly hiring rate is $17, plus a shift premium; the final rate is based on the applicant’s qualifications and other stated compensation factors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks in a noisy and dusty setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble air conditioning units using hand and power tools.
• Follow blueprints and engineering drawings to build subassemblies and final products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Inspect parts for defects and report issues.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production goals.
• Identify ways to streamline processes and support continuous improvement.
• Use basic computer tools, including Excel and Word, to track production and inventory.
• Be flexible with overtime and shift changes as needed.
