About The Position

Johnson Controls is hiring an Assembler to build high-quality air conditioning units in a fast-paced, safety-first manufacturing environment. The role involves assembling products and subassemblies, inspecting parts, tracking production and inventory, and working with a team to meet production goals. The position is on the weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pay is $17.00 per hour plus a shift premium. Applicants should be prepared to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and be flexible with overtime and shift changes as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks in a noisy and dusty setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble air conditioning units using hand and power tools.
• Follow blueprints and engineering drawings to build subassemblies and final products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Inspect parts for defects and report issues.
• Collaborate with the team to meet production goals.
• Identify ways to streamline processes and support continuous improvement.
• Use basic computer tools, including Excel and Word, to track production and inventory.
• Be flexible with overtime and shift changes as needed.
