About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking Assemblers to join their growing production factories. This role is ideal for individuals who want to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, quality-focused environment where they can learn and grow. The position is available on the second shift, which runs Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. As an Assembler, you will follow detailed work instructions to perform production duties, including assembly, operating machinery, packaging products, building products, and soldering. You will also be responsible for learning and adhering to all safety policies, developing positive working relationships with colleagues, and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Requirements

Willingness to learn, retain information and can become proficient in basic electronic production processes.
Basic understanding of quality and productivity standards.
Ability to listen, comprehend, and follow technical instructions.
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills in English.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently.
Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours.
Vision correctable to 20/30 or better.
Differentiate color.
Reach, bend, kneel, twist, grip, pinch.
Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place parts with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours.
