About The Position

This person will be responsible for assembling welding machines for the Power Systems Division. The primary job tasks include engine preparation, base assembly, front panel subassembly, wiring, testing, and shipping. Employees are required to rotate between primary job tasks or assist with job tasks as needed. The role requires an understanding and application of ITW operating principles in the manufacturing area. The individual must be a self-starter, a team player, quality conscious, and concerned with customer needs and on-time delivery. A key responsibility also involves training others. Cross-training in all areas of manufacturing is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of ITW operating principles
  • Ability to apply ITW operating principles to the manufacturing area
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be quality conscious with concern for the customer's needs and on-time delivery
  • Knowledge of MRD (Material Requirements Planning) and material ordering procedures
  • Commitment to teamwork and team goals
  • Positive attitude
  • Personal accountability
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts during peak production times
  • Willingness to work overtime as required (12 hrs/day and/or Saturdays & Sundays)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of engine drive products
  • Ability to read and understand circuit and wiring diagrams
