About The Position

This position involves inserting foam and packing sections for garage doors. The assembler will be responsible for lifting and organizing sections, interpreting and printing orders, cutting insulation/foam, inserting foam into endcaps/sections, and packing, banding, and labeling the finished sections. The role also includes down-stacking finished product to pallets or carts and maintaining a clean and safe working area. Additionally, the assembler must be able to perform tasks of any position on the line as necessary to meet production needs.

Requirements

  • Any combination of education providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and more than 50 lbs using a team-lift
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard and related software
  • Ability to operate hand tools
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing or assembly line experience preferred, but not required
